Aairsk S600 Electric Bike - Removable Battery
The Aairsk S600 pairs a 250W motor with a removable 36V 13Ah battery — 26-inch wheels, front suspension and Shimano 7-speed gearing. £579.99 with free UK delivery.
Held in UK stock, so there's no import wait and no customs charge when it arrives — typically 3–5 working days, often faster.
Why the removable battery matters
This is the S600's main selling point, and it's a bigger practical advantage than it sounds. You can lift the battery off and carry it indoors to charge, which matters if you store the bike in a shed, garage, hallway or communal bike store with no power. It also means the most valuable part of the bike doesn't stay with it overnight.
In winter it's more important still — a lithium battery left in a freezing shed loses range, and charging it while cold can permanently damage it.
How fast does it go?
Assistance cuts out at 25km/h (15.5mph), the UK legal limit for an electrically assisted pedal cycle. You can pedal faster under your own effort; the motor simply stops helping.
How far will it go on a charge?
The 36V 13Ah battery gives an estimated 30–40km (19–25 miles) on throttle alone, or 40–60km (25–37 miles) with pedal assist.
Hills, cold weather, tyre pressure and rider weight all reduce range, so plan against the lower figure. A full charge takes around 5–6 hours.
How long will the battery last?
Expect several hundred full charge cycles — typically around 500–800 for a lithium-ion pack — before capacity noticeably drops, which is several years for most riders. Being removable makes it easier to look after: charge indoors, avoid leaving it flat or at 100% for weeks, and let it warm to room temperature before charging after a cold ride.
Is it road legal in the UK?
The S600 is built to the 250W EAPC specification with a 25km/h cut-off, which is what UK law requires for public roads and cycle paths without registration, tax, insurance or a licence.
It's supplied with a twist throttle, and throttle operation is where legality depends on the delivered configuration. Check the current GOV.UK EAPC rules before riding on public roads.
