How fast does it go?

Assistance cuts out at 25km/h (15.5mph), the UK legal limit for an electrically assisted pedal cycle. You can pedal beyond that under your own effort; the motor just stops contributing.

How far will it go on a charge?

The 36V 10Ah battery gives an estimated 30–35km (19–22 miles) on throttle alone, or 35–55km (22–34 miles) with pedal assist. Adding your own pedalling stretches the battery a long way.

Hills, cold weather, tyre pressure and rider weight all reduce range, so plan against the lower figure. A full charge takes around 5–6 hours.

How long will the battery last?

Expect several hundred full charge cycles — typically around 500–800 for a lithium-ion pack — before capacity noticeably drops. For most riders that's several years of use.

Avoid leaving it flat or sitting at 100% for weeks, and charge it indoors rather than in a freezing shed.

Is it road legal in the UK?

The listed 250W rating and 25km/h assistance cut-off are only part of the EAPC assessment. The Q7 is supplied with a twist throttle, and approval may be required if it propels the bike without pedalling. We have not verified type approval for the exact supplied configuration. Do not assume this version can be used on public roads or cycle paths as an EAPC. Check the GOV.UK rules and ask us for the relevant documentation before ordering it for road use.
