The Aairsk GT900 is a 250W dual-suspension electric mountain bike built for comfort over longer rides and rougher ground. £489.99 with free UK delivery.

Held in UK stock, so there's no import wait and no customs charge when it arrives — typically 3–5 working days, often faster.

How fast does it go?

Assistance cuts out at 25km/h (15.5mph), which is the UK legal limit for an electrically assisted pedal cycle. You can pedal faster than that under your own effort — the motor simply stops helping once you pass it.

How far will it go on a charge?

The 36V 13Ah battery gives an estimated 30–40km (19–25 miles) using the throttle alone, or 40–60km (25–37 miles) with pedal assist. Pedalling alongside the motor makes a substantial difference, which is why the two figures differ so much.

Hills, headwinds, cold weather, tyre pressure and rider weight all reduce range, so plan against the lower number. A full charge takes around 5–6 hours.

How long will the battery last?

Expect several hundred full charge cycles — typically in the region of 500–800 for a lithium-ion pack — before you notice capacity dropping. For most riders that's several years of regular use.

Avoid leaving it completely flat or sitting at 100% for weeks, and charge it indoors rather than in a freezing shed.

Is it road legal in the UK?

The GT900 is built to the 250W EAPC specification with a 25km/h assistance cut-off, which is what UK law requires for riding on public roads and cycle paths without registration, tax, insurance or a licence.

It's supplied with a thumb throttle, and throttle operation is the one area where legality depends on the delivered configuration. Check the current GOV.UK EAPC rules before riding on public roads.

Who is it for?

Dual front and rear suspension is the GT900's main advantage — it smooths out potholes, towpaths and rough tracks in a way a hardtail can't. Combined with 21-speed Shimano gearing, it suits longer leisure rides and hilly routes where you want a wide gear range as well as motor assistance.

If you mostly ride smooth roads and want something cheaper, the GT300 covers that at £429.99.
