All three use a 250W motor and Shimano 7-speed transmission, and none is supplied with a throttle. Range figures are supplier estimates and vary with rider weight, terrain, weather, tyre pressure and assistance level.
VARUN M26-3 Pro — the budget commuter
At £549.99 the M26-3 Pro is the entry point into the range and the only one with conventional 26 × 1.95-inch tyres. That makes it the lightest-rolling of the three and the most familiar to ride if you're coming off an ordinary bicycle.
The compromise is battery capacity: 48V 7.8Ah gives a supplier-stated 35–50 km, noticeably less than the two 13Ah models. For a five-mile each-way commute that's comfortably enough for two or three days between charges. For weekend rides of 30 km or more, look at the M26-2 Pro instead.
It folds, has front suspension, and comes with a front light, bike lock, air pump and phone holder. Available in red, white, yellow and silver.
Best for: shorter commutes, tight storage, and the lowest price in the range.
VARUN M26-2 Pro — the comfort all-rounder
The M26-2 Pro keeps the 26-inch wheel size but widens the tyres to 4 inches. Fat tyres run at lower pressures, which soaks up potholes, gravel towpaths and kerbs in a way a narrow tyre can't — and gives noticeably more grip in the wet.
Battery capacity jumps to 48V 13Ah for a stated 40–65 km, and the frame is high-carbon steel rather than aluminium, so it's the heaviest to lift but the most planted to ride. It does not fold. A bike lock, air pump and phone holder are included, in black or orange.
Best for: riders who want comfort and grip over rough surfaces and have somewhere to store a full-size bike.
VARUN S20-2 Pro — the one that does both
The S20-2 Pro is the flagship at £875.99, and the only VARUN that folds and runs fat tyres and has suspension at both ends. Smaller 20-inch wheels shorten the folded package considerably, which is what makes a fat-tyre bike practical for a flat, a car boot or a train.
It also has the longest stated range in the range at 50–70 km from the same 48V 13Ah battery — smaller wheels and an aluminium frame are doing the work there. Available in white, black and orange.
Best for: commuters who need to fold and store the bike but don't want to give up ride comfort.

UK road-legal use — read this before ordering
All three VARUN bikes use a 250W motor and are supplied without a throttle, which are two of the four conditions for an Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle (EAPC) in Great Britain. However, the supplier lists a maximum assisted speed of up to 40 km/h on the S20-2 Pro and M26-2 Pro, and up to 32 km/h on the M26-3 Pro.
To be ridden on UK public roads and cycle paths as an EAPC, motor assistance must cut off at 15.5 mph (25 km/h), the bike must have working pedals, and the rider must be 14 or over. Check the assistance setting on the bike you receive and confirm it meets the current GOV.UK EAPC rules before riding in public. Can I return a VARUN bike if I change my mind?
Yes. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have 14 days from delivery to cancel an online order, subject to our returns policy.
