The VIPCOO H3 (model VC-H3) is a high-power electric dirt bike for private-land recreation and permitted off-road riding. It pairs a 3500W motor with a 48V 23Ah removable battery, 220Nm claimed torque, hydraulic disc brakes and full suspension.

How fast does the VIPCOO H3 go?

The supplier lists a top speed of up to 63km/h (39mph) in its highest setting, with three selectable modes:

  • Mode 1: 27km/h (17mph)
  • Mode 2: 35km/h (22mph)
  • Mode 3: 63km/h (39mph)

Those figures are measured on a full battery with no load. Real speed depends on rider weight, terrain, battery charge and tyre pressure.

How far will it go on a charge?

VIPCOO lists 40–70km (25–43 miles) per charge. That's a wide span because the riding mode makes an enormous difference — riding flat out in mode 3 will empty the battery far quicker than cruising in mode 1. Hills, soft ground, cold weather and a heavier rider all reduce range further, so plan against the lower figure.

A full charge takes roughly 7–9 hours from empty.

How long will the battery last?

The 48V 23Ah pack stores around 1,104Wh. As a general guide for lithium-ion e-bike batteries, expect several hundred full charge cycles before capacity noticeably drops — typically in the region of 500–800 cycles, depending on how it's treated. For most riders that's several years of use.

You'll get more life out of it by avoiding leaving it fully flat or sitting at 100% for weeks, charging indoors rather than in a freezing shed, and letting it warm to room temperature before charging after a cold ride. The battery is removable with a key lock, which makes indoor charging and secure storage straightforward.

Is the VIPCOO H3 road legal in the UK?

No. At 3500W and up to 63km/h it's far beyond the limits for a road-legal EAPC, which caps continuous motor power at 250W with assistance cutting out at 25km/h (15.5mph). Selecting a lower speed mode doesn't change that.

It's intended for private land and permitted off-road use. Riding it on public roads would require motor-vehicle type approval, registration, tax, insurance and an appropriate licence. If you need something for roads and cycle paths, see our road legal 250W electric bikes instead.

Will it fit me, and can I move it?

At roughly 57kg the H3 is heavy — plan for ground-level storage and expect to need a second pair of hands to lift it into a van. Maximum load is 120kg.

Rider suitability can't be judged on age or height alone. Check the seat height, reach to the bars and whether you can get both feet down comfortably before riding.

H3 vs H2 vs H6

The H2 shares the same 3500W motor and 48V 23Ah battery but uses a different frame and is lighter at around 53kg. The H6 is a significant step up — 60V 6000W, a 31.5Ah battery and larger 19"/17" tyres.
